Whitney Fence fabricates and installs high quality cedar fence. Established in 1941, we have become one of the most experienced installers in Massachusetts and we ensure that every fence we install is custom tailored to the unique conditions of your site and preferences.  We are also the only carrier of hand peeled rustic cedar material in the region.

Our available products include stockade, spaced picket, rail, vinyl, chain-link, custom cedar furniture, pool enclosures and animal enclosures—horse fence being one of our specialties.  Our products can be utilized for privacy, for serving as enclosures or boundary definition and for property beautification. Many customers say the fence gives them an increased sense of security.  Our fence products come in varying styles suitable for different purposes and personal preferences, but each fence will provide aesthetic appeal and add value to your property or business.

The material we use for all our products is Northern White Cedar sourced from Alberta, Canada and Northern Vermont.  There are a number of reasons that make this material ideal for fencing:

• Long Lifespan: Naturally occurring preservatives make Northern White Cedar one of the most decay and insect resistant types available. You can expect to enjoy decades of life from every product we install.

• Low Maintenance: This material does not require any paint or chemical preservatives to ensure a long life.

• Beauty: When Northern White Cedar weathers, the wood develops a silvery-gray “patina” that is a compliment to any landscape.  This material is particularly well suited to the New England region where its rustic character blends well with our forested surroundings.

• Renewable: Northern White Cedar is a renewable resource.  Forested cedar stands are repeatedly harvested within a relatively short time span.

We offer our material in two styles:

• Rustic Cedar: The bark on this rustic cedar material is pulled off by hand, leaving behind knots and displaying the natural contours of the wood.  This material is not available by other installers in the region.

• Smooth Cedar: This material is peeled by machine for a smooth consistent finish.

The geographic areas where we install fence include Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire and Connecticut.
